I have recently returned to academia, and am now Programme Leader for the Arts & Ecology postgraduate and research programme at Schumacher College.
Until 2000 I was a full-time academic, teaching at a number of different institutions in the UK and the US. My last full-time teaching post was as a tenured Associate Professor of Music at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where I was Director of the Division of Contemporary Music. On returning to the UK around this time, I was Research Fellow at Rescen at Middlesex University and then became so involved with half/angel and with Aune Head Arts that I gave up my academic posts altogether.
However, teaching is important to me, and I subsequently became involved in postgraduate teaching at Dartington College of Arts (having been awarded a PhD in 2003) and eventually became Award Leader for the MA Arts & Ecology in its final two years at Dartington.
