Radio

I believe in radio. Over the years I’ve done lots of radio, have been involved as a Board member and volunteer on community radio and television, and been a vocal proponent of the power of radio. You can listen to my current weekly show here, or every Thursday at 10am on Soundart Radio 102.5fm (Totnes/Dartington). Richard Povall’s Emporium of Sound is a serendipitous collections of soundscapes and music, a great deal of which is spent listening to the ocean.

Soundart Radio (@soundartradio) is a wonderful community station in the southwest of England programming a genuinely unique mix of experimental and not-experimental music. Now in its seventh year, it’s always worth a listen. I am proud to have served on the Board and as Chair for a number of years until other commitments forced me to stand down. If you’re lucky enough to live in the Totnes/Dartington area, you can listen over the air at 102.5fm.

In the 1980s I had a regular show on KPFA in Berkeley California, the flagship station of the Pacifica network.  This was my introduction to radio and I was completely hooked thereafter.

You can also check out past editions of Aune Head Arts Radio free: subscribe to the show via iTunes (free).  This show was produced by me on behalf of Aune Head Arts (AHA Radio) until AHA’s closure in mid-2013.
