Listening Walk 7 Sept
As part of the Art at Yarner exhibition (7 – 22 September), I will be leading a listening walk through part of the old forest. We’ll be exploring the sonic landscape as well as walking through rustling leaves, along some old paths, and then along the old granite tramway that was used to move tin and copper out to sea in times of yore.
We meet at Yarner Wood Woodland Centre (follow the signs for ‘Art at Yarner’) at 12 noon, and we’ll walk for around an hour. It won’t be particularly strenuous, except for ear-exercises. However you’ll still need good walking shoes and it would be good to bring pen(cil) and paper. No need to register, just come. Then visit the rest of the exhibition. We won’t be out for much more than an hour.
Be prepared for possible wet weather.
